The Nigerian bossed the midfield and it wasn’t a surprise when he set up Cote d’Ivoire’s Amad Diallo and the youngster made no mistake as he scored the opener. The 19-year-old winger only joined Rangers on Thursday but manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst trusted him to start and he repaid that faith.

However, the home side hit back after Jordan White pounced on a mistake at the back for Rangers to equalise and White completed his brace with a neat finish just before half-time to make it 2-1.

Rangers were back in the game at the restart as Ryan Kent’s shot was deflected into the path of Captain, James Tavernier and he finished with a simple header into an empty net.

The Gers took charge of the tie with a third goal from defender  Connor Goldson after the home side failed to clear a corner. Ross County threw everything at van Bronckhorst’s men and got a very late goal from substitute Matthew Wright to end the tie 3-3.

Rangers remain top of the log with 56 points while Ross County sit 10th with 22points.
