Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has expressed satisfaction with the form of goalkeepers in camp ahead of the friendly against Mexico on July 3.
The team made up of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) stars trained for the first time in Abuja on Wednesday in preparation for the friendly which will be played in presence of 77,500 fans at the LA Coliseum in the United States of America.
Speaking with the Super Eagles media team, Alloy Agu revealed: “The first training session has been very positive …. and when they came down here, we expect them to showcase what they’ve been doing in the league and that’s precisely what they showcased.
“Ezenwa is here and two other young goalkeepers are also here. We are expecting John Noble to also join them. The training went well and we are looking forward to the game.”
Nigeria have played Mexico five times previously with four draws and a loss – perhaps they would be sixth-time lucky on July 3.
