“We all play for the team. We just focus on the competition and how to work. We don’t think of the problems. Our focus is the game, and we will do our best to win. We were not good enough against Gambia and were punished at the end. We took the lesson and will correct our mistakes and give our best. This is past now and our focus is what’s coming. We fear no one and comes the game you will find soldiers giving their all,” Laïdouni said.

He added: “Technically speaking, we are ready despite the situation we found ourselves. It is very difficult but we will try to adapt to the situation. We are not distracted by the situation in our team. We have been playing good teams since we started the game. We have 23 players that are ready for the game tomorrow.

“It is not easy going to the game against Nigeria with our situation but we are trying to encourage ourselves to see that we beat Nigeria. I think the team is a solid one. We are not a pushover and tomorrow is the day for the truth. All the available players are up to the task. We respect Nigeria because they had good performance in the group stages and they are a very good side.”
